Where good news shines

The Gold Crown Foundation again is doing what it does as well as anyone — helping kids.

Gold Crown will host its third Healthy Kids Expo from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The event, which is free, will take place at the Gold Crown Field House at 160 S. Harlan Street in Lakewood. Gold Crown founder Bill Hanzlik said roughly 800 kids have registered for the Healthy Kids Expo. They're shooting for 1,400.

"It's going to be a blast," Hanzlik said.
