Record high temperatures will be possible across the Front Range on Saturday. The all-time record in Denver is 98 degrees which is very possible. Storm chances will be low and those areas around the metro area that do get rain will just get light totals.

There will be scattered storms in the mountains as monsoonal showers and storms return to the picture on Saturday. The storm coverage will increase in the high country on Sunday and Monday bringing an isolated flash flood risk back to the state.

Isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop in the Denver area on Sunday which could impact the Broncos home pre-season game against the Packers. Only about a 30% coverage is expected with the storms but the lightning will have a greater potential to delay the game and impact fans. At least the clouds and storms will help keep temperatures comfortable.

The workweek looks generally warmer than average as we sit on the edge of a ridge of high pressure, but we'll have daily isolated storm odds thanks to monsoonal moisture. Afternoon clouds each day Sunday through Friday might help take some of the sting out of those warm temperatures.
